We hold the AS9100 quality standard to TS157 and manufacture to tighter tolerances than most other precision engineering companies. We have temperature controlled conditions and extensive quality control equipment.
For normal CNC Turning & Milling we routinely work to running tolerances of 0,01mm.
For Grinding and Lapping we routinely work to 0,001mm.

Productivity

We employ lean manufacturing techniques to drive efficiency and productivity. This contributes to our ability to deliver consistent quality, and responsive customer service.

Expertise

We have a strong base of skilled personnel who are all ex toolmakers. We are happiest when we’re involved at the design stage so we can use our expertise to ensure components can be successfully and cost-effectively manufactured at volume levels.

Capability

Once you’ve handed over drawings to us, we will manage the whole process, including material procurement (especially exotic materials; thermal treatment and specialist protective or wear coatings). We can handle sub-assembly work, including the procurement of proprietary items, with the appropriate approvals. Our extensive range of the latest equipment means we have the flexibility to respond to your requirements and the ability to handle most tasks in-house.

Universal Tool & Production Company was founded in 1952 as a toolmaking company. It evolved into a production company in the early seventies and by the end of the seventies ceased commercial toolmaking. We now have two locations in Fareham.
